A series that started with the question, “If a smartphone turns off and becomes useless, isn’t it no different from a brick?” A satirical illustration of the human brain gradually deteriorating as we live immersed in our smart phones. The bricks in the illustration represent smartphones, and the balloons represent people’s heads.
People who try out hot places and it-items on SNS and YouTube without fail. Just as the characters in the Japanese manga Dragonball turn on their Dragonball detectors and go around looking for Dragonballs, modern people also turn on their smartphone map apps and wander around to take certification shots.
‘스마트폰 전원이 꺼져 아무 쓸모가 없어지면 벽돌과 별 차이가 없지 않을까?’ 하는 물음에서 시작한 시리즈. 스마트(Smart)한 휴대폰 속에 빠져 사느라 인간의 뇌는 점점 퇴화해감을 풍자한 그림. 그림 속 벽돌은 스마트폰, 풍선은 사람의 머리를 뜻한다.
SNS와 유튜브 속 핫플, 잇템이라면 무조건 해보고야 마는 사람들. 일본 만화 드래곤볼에서 등장인물들이 드래곤볼 감지기를 켜 드래곤볼을 찾으러 다니듯 현대인들도 스마트폰 지도앱 켜두고 인증샷을 위해 이리저리 유랑하는 모습.
